Demi Lovato has revealed why she changed her pronouns from they/them to she/her.
Lovato, 32, became a household name after starring in the hit Disney film Camp Rock (2008) and its sequel Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam (2010).
She’s also had a successful music career, with it being estimated she’s sold over 24 million records in the U.S.
Over the years, Lovato has been incredibly open with fans when it comes to her gender identity and s**uality.
The ‘Heart Attack’ singer took to Instagram in 2021 and revealed that she identifies as non-binary.
“Today is a day I’m so happy to share more of my life with you all – I am proud to let you know that I identify as non-binary and will officially be changing my pronouns to they/them moving forward,” the pop star declared.
“This has come after a lot of healing and self-reflective work. I’m still learning and coming into myself, and I don’t claim to be an expert or a spokesperson.”
Lovato opened up to actress Jane Fonda on Fire Drill Friday, discussing her upbringing and its effects on her gender identity.
She told the star: “Growing up in Dallas, Texas, in the South, being Christian, there were a lot of norms that were already pushed on to me when it came to s**uality and gender.
“And I’m a very fluid person, I’m a very free-spirited, open person.”
The ‘Sorry Not Sorry’ artist described her early life as being ‘very confusing,’ with it being ‘not very open’ where she lived in the South.
Fortunately, it appears as though Lovato is much more comfortable in opening up about her gender identity and s**uality nowadays – revealing during YouTube Pride that she was ‘grateful’ to her family members for ‘using my pronouns.’
Lovato also shared with fans that the change had come as she was beginning to learn more about herself.
In an interview with the music podcast Audacy Check-In, the ‘Cool for the Summer’ singer explained: “Since I’ve learned about gender identity more and learning about being non-binary or gender non-conforming, I’ve used this time to really explore what feels right to me.
“And after a year and a half of exploration, I realized it was time to let the world know that it feels weird to me when I get called a ‘she’ or a ‘her.’
“I understand that people might have a hard time adjusting to it because it is something new, but I want to encourage people to keep trying and that I understand that it’s a process to get used to.”
Lovato admitted that sometimes, she will even ‘mess up’ regarding pronouns.
Elsewhere on the podcast, Lovato revealed that she had formed close friendships with people within the LGBTQIA+ community.
“I used to identify family as blood-related, and now my queer family has become more family than friends,” she said.
“And I feel like I now have two families. I have my blood relatives and then I have my queer family, and that family to me is the chosen family.”
A year before coming out about her gender identity, Lovato’s engagement to actor and singer Max Ehrich came to an end.
Later, the ‘La La Land’ singer told Glamour she believed that their breakup was a blessing in disguise.
She told the publication: “When I started getting older, I started realizing how queer I really am. This past year I was engaged to a man, and when it didn’t work, I was like, ‘This is a huge sign.’
“I thought I was going to spend my life with someone. Now that I wasn’t going to, I felt this sense of relief that I could live my truth.”
During an appearance at the 19th Represents Summit, Lovato added: “And when I said goodbye to that relationship, I also said goodbye to everything that was holding me back from being my most authentic self.”
The pop vocalist also told the outlet that at the time, she wasn’t sure how her journey of gender exploration would evolve.
“There might be a time where I identify as trans. I don’t know what this looks like for me. There might be a time where I identify as non-binary and gender-nonconforming my entire life,” she explained.
“Or maybe there’s a period of time when I get older that I identify as a woman, I don’t know what that looks like, but for me, in this moment right now, this is how I identify.”
Yet over time, it appears Lovato has become more accepting of people using she/her pronouns when referring to her.
The ‘Skyscraper’ artist appeared on the Sprout Podcast and explained: “I’ve actually adopted the pronouns of ‘she/her’ again.
“Especially last year, my energy was balanced in my masculine and feminine energy so that when I was faced with the choice of walking into a bathroom and it said ‘women’ and ‘men.’
“I didn’t feel like there was a bathroom for me because I didn’t feel necessarily like a woman. I didn’t feel like a man. I just felt like a human.”
Lovato added that she had also been ‘feeling more feminine.’
“But I think what’s important is, like, nobody’s perfect,” she concluded. Everyone messes up pronouns at some point, and especially when people are learning. It’s just all about respect.”

David Harbour, the charming heartthrob from the hit show Stranger Things, has a very famous wife in real life.

The 48-year-old actor is happily married to singer-songwriter Lily Allen.
Their love story began back in 2019 when Harbour was sporting a messy beard for his role as Red Guardian in Black Widow.
The two met through the exclusive celebrity dating app Raya, and it didn’t take long for sparks to fly.
Speaking to the NY Times, Harbour playfully admitted that Allen fell for him when he was at his ‘worst’, both physically and hair-wise, weighing 280-lbs.
Their first date was at the esteemed Wolseley Restaurant in London, setting the stage for a blossoming romance.
Before finding love with Allen, Harbour had previously dated actresses Maria Thayer and Julia Stiles, as well as singer-songwriter Alison Sudol.
But it was with the ‘Smile’ singer that he found a deep connection, one that would lead to a beautiful union.
Their love story reached new heights when Harbour decided to pop the question.
It’s a heartwarming tale, as Allen’s eldest daughter, Ethel, played an unexpectedly hilarious role in the proposal.
Referring to Harbour as ‘just some guy in our lives’, Ethel inadvertently paved the way for a momentous step in their relationship.
Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, the couple decided to tie the knot in a special ceremony.
In September 2020, Harbour and Allen exchanged vows in a quaint Vegas wedding officiated by none other than an Elvis Presley impersonator.
For the occasion, Harbour donned a simple black tuxedo, while the ‘Not Fair’ artist stunned in a short white Dior dress.
The ceremony was followed by a fun afterparty with burgers at In-N-Out.
However, the couple didn’t intend to announce the news publicly, but thanks to the Las Vegas Twitter account, their marriage certificate made its way into the limelight.
Allen was previously married to Sam Cooper and shares two daughters with him: Ethel Mary (born in 2011) and Marnie Rose (born in 2013).

Khalifa only appeared in 11 videos during that three-month period, however, it helped establish her as one of the industry’s biggest stars in the world at that point.
Despite her reputation, she was shockingly only paid $12,000 for her work.
Her experiences in the industry have led Khalifa to urge other women to not work in the business.
In a TikTok post from 2020, Khalifa shared a video of herself looking unenthusiastic and dejected.
The video featured the caption: “That hourly dissociative attack from remembering hundreds of millions of people’s only impression of you is solely based on the lowest, most toxic, most uncharacteristic three months of your life when you were 21.”
She elaborated on this in an Instagram story at the time, which said: “Those 11 videos will haunt me until I die, and I don’t want another girl to go through that – because no one should.
”Long story short: don’t do p***. And if you do, don’t do it with a company. Do it for yourself, on your own terms.
“And if you consume p***, make sure it’s ethical and not from giant corporations who profit off exploiting women.
“Like your groceries, shop local and direct from the creators.”
Khalifa has never been shy about expressing her opinions on the working conditions in the adult film industry, which she described as the ‘worst time’ in her life.
Appearing on Emily Ratajkowski’s podcast, High Low with EmRata, she explained that she wants there to be changes to ensure it becomes a safer working environment, such as a higher legal age.

Khalifa explained: “I feel like the age should be raised for a production company to own your rights to 21, at least.
“If you wanna enter the s** work industry, by all means, do it after 18.
“That’s the legal age, that’s never gonna be fought.”
She continued: “You have to be really realistic about the safety and ethics around s** work because it’s the oldest profession in the entire world. The oldest profession, it’s never going away.
“The more you tighten restrictions on it, the more people will find a way around it, and that could be said for anything – the prohibition era exists for a reason.”

Cardi B Hurls Microphone At Fan After They Threw Drink At Her
American rapper Cardi B is at the centre of a media storm after launching a microphone at a crowd member who left her drenched on stage.
Cardi B, whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar Cephus, is a rapper who is best known for tracks such as ‘WAP’ and ‘Bodak Yellow’.
Footage of the ‘I Like It’ rapper on stage in Las Vegas is going viral on social media as it shows an audience member hurling a drink at her.
It’s led to fans rushing to support Cardi and praising her for sticking up for herself.
Let’s check out the video that’s got social media users talking below…
In the video, the 30-year-old rapper can be seen in the middle of singing her 2018 smash hit track ‘Bodak Yellow’.
She raises the microphone up to her face for another verse, before suddenly a spray of liquid is seen hitting her in the face from a drink from a cup in the audience.

The video then continues to show security staff quickly surrounding the person in the crowd – as the track ‘Bodak Yellow’ continues to play.
Cardi appears shocked for a brief second before swinging into action and throwing the microphone at someone in the audience, presumably the drink-tosser.
She is then seen fixing her hair as security appears to handle the situation in the crowd.
The ‘Up’ rapper took to Twitter to retweet a video clip of the incident with the caption: “Jealous A** B****!” which is in reference to her rapper husband Offset’s new song ‘Jealousy’, on which she features.
After the incident took over social media sites, fans of the Washington-born rapper rushed to show their support.
One user wrote: “When y’all going to learn to stop throwing things at artists on stage, Cardi is not the one.”
A second user added: “People seriously need to stop throwing stuff on stage at celebs!”
Whilst a third user commented: “Finally a celebrity fighting back.”
This is not the first time Cardi has been filmed throwing her microphone whilst performing in Las Vegas.
Footage from a previous night also shows her throwing her mic at a DJ, apparently annoyed because they were cutting off her songs too early.
